Compaq Presario CQ60 Charging Problem
Question:" It is a Compaq Presario CQ60 Laptop by HP. I don't have
any cash I can put into fixing it and the battery is dead, but we have
the charger and everything it needs to function. I was just wondering if
anybody knew of an easy, reliable way to get it to charge without
getting work done on it. "
Answer:"The charger can stop working for two main reasons. The first one is that the charger may be old and may have broken down due to a mechanical error and the other reason is that your Dc socket may not be working meaning charge cannot reach your laptop.
Try remove the battery and compaq battery charger/ac adapter/power cord from your Compaq Presario CQ60 laptop, press and hold the power button for 20 seconds to discharge any residual current inside the laptop. This clears your RAM and is like a hardware reset. Replace the battery and compaq presario cq62 adapter and turn your laptop on.
If the problem remain, check if its your laptop power cord or power source problem. Insufficient power might cause error messages that are misleading. Take the battery out and power on your Compaq Presario CQ60 laptop with the charger only. Make sure your laptop power jack and charger plug tip are securely connected. Did you notice the power jack loose? You can find laptop power jack on ebay. Fixing and soldering the power jack requires professional skill though. Also the charger green/blue LED should be constantly on without blinking. Samsung Laptop not charging correctly
Question:"Hi, last night I noticed that the battery on my samsung laptop wasn't charging after I had plugged the samsung ac adapter charger
inside it. The green light is still on the charger, but it's not

My laptop says no battery is detected?
i have a dell and today my laptop just shut down by it self. i plugged in the charger but again it shut down few minutes later. i turned it on once more and i saw by the battery life thing a red x on it. i clicked on it and it says no battery is detected.please help to fix this
Answer:"I suggest that you shut the system down, remove the battery and disconnect the laptop ac adapter, press and hold the power button for 20 to 30 seconds. Now connect only the ac adapter and wait for 30 seconds and turn on the system. This will drain any residual charge in the capacitors.
Please check if the original dell Ac adapter and battery works fine on another computer. Also check if the dell pa-21 charger and battery is detected in the BIOS. To go to BIOS, restart the system and at Dell logo tap the F2 key every two seconds. Under the option General navigate to Battery information and highlight it. To the right side the battery and Ac adapter information will be listed. Check the status of Ac adapter and battery and reply with the findings.

Note: While flashing BIOS connect the dell LA45NM121 adapter and make sure the battery has minimum 15% charge as this needs uninterrupted power supply. Do not use the system till it restarts and comes up to the desktop.
