I would like to buy an HP EliteBook 865 G10 (Ryzen 7940HS) . I would like to replace the original battery (3 cell, 51 Whr, 4.68 Ahr M73466-005) with the bigger one available (6 cell, 76 Whr, 3.53 Ahr M73470-005).
HP made a Youtube video about how to replace the battery where you can see the 76 Wh battery being replaced:

Their Maintenance and Service Guide mentions both the 51 Wh and 76 Wh batteries but no word about compatibility:

I've tried to contact HP about this but I've only received stupid answers:

"Unfortunately, you would not be able to upgrade the battery because it
is soldered onto the motherboard. And all the other hardware components
have been designed and fixed on it to work with the 51Wh battery and
anything apart from that can cause an issue like short circuit or so."
- "The battery can not be removed."
- "If you change the type of hp laptop battery
it takes there is damaging the battery or laptop beyond repair. The
reason being that they are programmed to take a certain battery
depending on the country they are being sold in."
Clearly the
battery is not soldered and can indeed be removed. The AC adapter
already takes care of different AC voltages across different countries
so that part is bs as well. Unless there is some kind of firmware lock
in to prevent it I find it unlikely that replacing the battery could
cause any kind of damage if they are physically compatible.
I would
love to know your thoughts. The best thing would be to buy a model with
the 76 Wh battery but none is available for sale in Italy.
